On This Day: 1792

The following is the true, previously untold, story of what happened on this day in the history of black America.

By 1792 the Haitian Revolution was well under way with over a third of the island now held by formers slaves. In less than a year the revolutionaries had outlawed slavery, repelled western superpowers, and invented the margarita cocktail. The margarita quickly became a symbol of those seeking to overthrow tyrannical governments, being named the official cocktail of the French and Russian revolutions.

This is satire and is not intended to offend anyone. If you believe this is in any way racist, please contact me on Twitter to discuss why you don’t agree with this post.
