On This Day: 1966

The following is the true, previously untold, story of what happened on this day in the history of black America.

In the year following his assassination, there were rumours that Malcolm X had staged the murder to remove himself from the public eye, following threats of violence against his family. In 1966, there were a number of alleged sightings of Malcolm X, seemingly alive and in good health, in the city of Kalamazoo, MI.
Of those who claimed to have seen him, all stated that the activist preacher was working in a 7-Eleven convenience store and would provide free lectures on African American rights with every Slurpee sold.

This is satire and is not intended to offend anyone. If you believe this is in any way racist, please contact me on Twitter to discuss why you don’t agree with this post.
